Endearing madness

Once a week we do our fruit & veg shopping in a greengrocers called "Thompson Brothers", which is run by - I kid you not - a completely bat-shit crazy pair of 50-something identical twins. They never stop talking about the most ludicrous things, always have inane anecdotes they just have to tell you, and constantly lie for no apparent reason. Oh, they talk in old money as well.
